Hey band.
It's just gona be 3 more months till SYF.
Do you guys see the amount of time we have?
HAVE SOME SENSE OF URGENCY ! :D
Please start practicing and DO NOT SKIP BAND PRACS ANYMORE.
I'm sure you all don't want Mr Han to scold us like the last practice right? He almost walked out of the band room door.
Practice, practice and practice! But don't practice the wrong thing. Record down wad you are practicing and hear it. If it seems weird mean you are playing it wrong.. To make yourself a better player is to never look down on yourself. Believe in yourself. Have confidence. Take note on all the little details on your scold. Do you need to play loud? NO. Hw big is our band... Less than 30 members. 100% can hear you one. The only people that nid to play louder are : BASS CLARINET , TROMBONE , HORNS AND TIMPANI. And others too if your scores ask you to play loud.
Many people have this thinking that F (forte)  means loud. It does not mean play till blasting. It's just asking to play a little louder so that the judges or conductor knows that you are there.

And please also note that you play a part for a purpose.  Be it cords or harmonization.. Mostly the lowest notes nid to be the loudest, followed by the middle note then the softest goes to the highest note.
I'm thinking of Saturday practices next year. This way we will get more practice.
Some of your attendance are not even fixed. DO NOT TREAT YOUR CCA LIKE A HOTEL.

CCA is there for you to be able to challenge yourself to handle stress, manage your time wisely and become disciplined.
Have you all realize hw small our band is. We are kinda in trouble. Almost each person playing one part.

So each of you most PLAY OUT but NOT too LOUD as we are a small band. So keep your attendance stable and lastly, let's all work hard to get a SILVER. :DDD

- Your band major, Elton.
